Late post- June 26th -The 1st World-War.

World War I brought about a variety of inventions that changed the game of the World!
These inventions included tanks, submarines, airplanes, poison gas, as well bared wire. "This new military technology contributed to the staggering casualties of the war, including 10 million deaths, mostly men" (Strayer, Pg. 887). This and perhaps with the number of injured and crippled, the women of the day were left with little or no choice but to work. Men were being killed by the millions, "as a result, there would be no husbands or children" (Strayer Pg. 887).
This changed the World big time- at least for America, women were able to leave their legacy in history. "As the first World War ended, suffrage movements revived and women received the right to vote in a number of countries- Britain, the United States, Germany, the Soviet Union, Hungary, and Poland- in part perhaps because of the sacrifices they had made during the conflict" (Strayer, Pg. 888). Women earned their rights, World War I would not have been won without the scarifies of Women. This to me significantly changed society, at least the World saw, and finally recognized that they too are equal- WOMEN- and the right to vote shall be granted!
